Maternity Nurses - private maternity service
Private maternity nurses (also called baby nurses) are highly- trained or experienced nannies with extensive newborn experience, nurses or midwifes. We offer our services internationally.
All our maternity nurses are also CRB checked.
Maternity nurses care for newborn babies only and will expect to work for you for just a couple of months after you have given birth.
Private maternity nurses work 5, 5.5 or 6 days a week 24 hours if they are required to live in; or they can also work an 8 – 12 hour routine days or nights only.
We recruit mainly native English speaking maternity nurses mainly from the UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, but we are very open to highly experienced baby nurses from all European countries.
DUTIES OF A MATERNITY NURSE:
The main responsibilities of a private maternity nurse involve:
- care for your newborn baby
- postnatal care
- assisting you in establishing a routine within the home environment
- supervising and tidying the baby's room
- day-to-day laundry for the baby
- setting up sleeping patterns and caring for the baby through out the night so you can get a good night sleep
- support and encouragement with breast feeding
- teach you safety and hygiene around the baby
- sterilising and making up the bottles for your baby
A maternity nurse is on call for 24 hours a day either 5, 5.5 or 6 days per week. She is entitled to at least 2-3 hours free time during the day to rest or take a walk. She however is on call should you need her assistance. Her time off per week consists of one full day and one full night; during this time the maternity nurse can ask to sleep alone or take time off outside the home.
If you wish to book a maternity nurse, please contact us to discuss your requirements.Advance bookings are highly recommended.
