Detailed description of the job

We are seeking an experienced live-in nanny to join the family starting at the end of September or October. They have two boys: a very active 7-year-old and a calm, happy 1.5-year-old. The eldest needs someone patient who can inspire and encourage him, especially with his homework, while the youngest occasionally gets restless at night, making him grumpy during the day.

Parents work in London and need a nanny available from 8/8:30am until 8pm, Monday to Friday, to accommodate the commuting schedule. Famile's current arrangement includes another caregiver who helps from 1pm to 8pm, allowing the live-in nanny time to cook, do some chores like washing the kids' clothes, and prepare meals for the children. The nanny will also pick up our 7-year-old from school at 4:30pm, which requires a driver’s license. A family car is provided for this purpose.

They prefer someone with at least 5 years of experience, particularly with toddlers, and it would be advantageous if the candidate speaks Russian or Bulgarian, though this is not essential. The ideal candidate will also help the youngest begin an early childhood development program.

Patience and encouragement are key qualities for this role, as the 7-year-old responds best to a balanced approach—not too pushy, but not too soft. He is very active and loves to play, but needs support to stay focused on his homework. The 1.5-year-old enjoys walks and is generally easygoing but can be a fussy eater, requiring some encouragement during mealtime.
