Detailed description of the job

A family is seeking a full-time, live-in maternity nurse with extensive experience in newborn care to join them from mid-August to the end of November. The family has a newborn baby who will be one month old by the time the maternity nurse starts. They reside in a spacious three-bedroom apartment with four bathrooms, ensuring the maternity nurse will have her private room and bathroom.

The father, who has a flexible work schedule, will be available to assist with the baby daily. The mother, employed overseas, will be flexible during the first month but will return to work abroad afterward. The family also anticipates possible support from the grandparents who may come to stay with them.

The primary focus for the maternity nurse will be the care of the baby, with no additional household duties required as a routine cleaner will handle housework. The family is flexible with meal arrangements, offering either online takeout or home-cooked meals, and will consider any reasonable dietary needs the maternity nurse might have.

Given the family's Chinese background, they prefer a Mandarin-speaking maternity nurse to facilitate easier cultural integration. The maternity nurse will be expected to manage overnight care for the baby, allowing the parents to work during the day. The family values a maternity nurse who can also share her knowledge and expertise with them, enhancing their caregiving skills.

The position is for a 24/6 schedule, with flexibility for the nurse to take breaks during the day as the parents are available to assist during those times.
