**Family Profile:**
Working, married couple in their early 40s with one 7-year-old daughter. The father is of French origin, and the mother is from the Czech Republic. The family also holds British citizenship and is settled in the UK with no plans to relocate. They are a warm, affectionate family that enjoys spending time together, often showing affection through hugs and cuddles.
**Child Profile:**
The daughter is affectionate, bright, sensitive, and well-behaved. She enjoys arts and crafts, skipping, and dancing, and does not use an iPad or phone. She has a strong relationship with her current nanny. She attends a bilingual English/French school in Kentish Town during the week and goes to Czech school on Saturdays.
**Location:** The family lives near Hampstead Heath extension, within a 10-minute walk from Golders Green underground station.
**Start Date:** October 2024
**Duties:**Focused on childcare with no cleaning responsibilities. The father prepares dinners in advance, which just need to be heated up.
**Hours:** The family employs their nanny for approximately 30 hours per week, with the following schedule during term time:
1. **Mornings:** About 2 hours from 6:30-8:30 am, including preparing breakfast, getting the child ready for school, and dropping her off at her school in Kentish Town by 8:30 am.
2. **Afternoons:** Around 3 hours from 3:30-6:30 pm, including school pickup, dinner prep (heating the meal), and assisting with homework. The father typically returns home by 6:15 pm.
3. **Wednesdays:** School pickup is at 12:15 pm, as Wednesday afternoons are free under the French school system. This may change if the child returns to the English school system in the future.
4. **Weekends and evenings:** Occasional babysitting may be requested, but regular weekend work is not expected.
**Holiday Schedule:**
During school holidays, full-day care will be required, but this will not amount to many weeks since the child will spend 8-9 weeks on holiday with parents or grandparents and will also attend holiday day camps.
**Accommodation (if live-in):**
A spacious, bright bedroom with an en-suite bathroom on the second floor of the house. The family occupies the first-floor bedrooms, and they believe the accommodations will be very attractive for the right candidate.
**Au Pair/Nanny Profile:**
The family is initially considering an au pair but is also open to after-school nannies or full-time live-in/live-out nannies depending on the candidate's qualifications. They offer pay in line with London’s average hourly rate as per nannytax.com and will adjust remuneration based on the candidate's profile.
**Requirements:**
**Safe:** Attentive and responsible. **Dependable:** Consistent support is needed as both parents are working. **Committed:** The family seeks a nanny who can stay for at least 1 year. **Affectionate:** Someone who fits well with the family's loving, close-knit dynamic and continues the child’s strong bond with her caregiver. **Academic Support:** Comfortable with helping with some homework (educated to at least A-level/baccalaureate equivalent). **Physically Active:** Able to manage school drop-offs/pickups, and no smoking is allowed.
**Preferences:**
1. Czech and/or French speakers.
2. Previous experience in a nursery or school setting (with references).
3. Relevant certifications (e.g., first aid).
