How we work

Once you’ve identified the type of childcare support you require, whether daily live-out, live-in, bilingual, international, or otherwise, you can proceed by completing our online family registration form. A small registration fee is required prior to entering the interview stage. Upon submission, your details and preferences will be carefully reviewed by a member of our team.

We will then contact you directly to discuss your needs in more detail. At Royal Nannies, we operate strictly on a tailored matching basis, ensuring that only candidates who genuinely meet your family’s criteria will be introduced for consideration.

OUR PLACEMENT PROCESS

Stage 1 – Understanding Your Needs
We begin with a thorough consultation to understand your family’s unique requirements and household environment. We offer expert advice on scheduling, clearly defining the nanny or governess role, and setting realistic expectations around duties and responsibilities. We also provide salary guidance tailored to your specific needs and market standards.

Stage 2 – Matching Nannies & Families
Your criteria are carefully matched against our vetted database of experienced, qualified, and personality-appropriate nannies and governesses. Our aim is to save you time by presenting only the most suitable and exceptional candidates for your consideration.

Stage 3 – Interview
We coordinate and support the interview process, offering sample questions and evaluating feedback from both parties. Interviews can take place via Zoom for your convenience or in person at a neutral location such as a hotel lounge or café.

Stage 4 – Offer & Agreement
Once you've selected a candidate, you may propose a trial or extend a formal job offer. We assist in drafting a clear and comprehensive employment agreement, ensuring all key terms are addressed. Once accepted, the nanny or governess is officially employed directly by the family.

Stage 5 – Follow-Up & Ongoing Support
After placement, we remain in contact with both family and nanny to ensure a smooth integration. Our team is available for post-placement support, and we also facilitate introductions between local nannies to encourage peer connection and knowledge-sharing within the community.

Legal Employment Responsibility

Please note that all nannies placed through our agency are employed directly by the family, not by us. Under UK law, it is the legal responsibility of the employer (the family) to arrange and pay for the nanny’s income tax and National Insurance contributions.

We recommend using specialist payroll services such as www.nannytax.co.uk or www.nannypaye.co.uk to ensure full compliance and peace of mind.
