A warm, professional family based in Dulwich is seeking an experienced Weekend Rota Nanny to join their household every other weekend. The schedule will typically run from Thursday evening to Monday morning, or Friday afternoon to Monday evening, providing sole charge care of two young children.

The family has a long-term full-time nanny during the week and are now looking for a dedicated weekend nanny to support their children and household routines.

The Children

• Girl, 6 years – active, energetic, and loves creative play.

• Boy, 4 years – affectionate, playful, and enjoys trucks, dinosaurs, and maths.

The children are happy, affectionate, and thrive with structure and engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Sole charge childcare during rota weekends

• Morning and evening routines, mealtimes, and bath/bedtime

• Cooking nutritious vegetarian meals

• Planning stimulating indoor and outdoor activities

• School drop-offs/pick-ups on Fridays and Mondays (walking distance)

• Occasional collection from daughter’s Central London school (easy Victoria route)

• Nursery duties (toys, clothes, tidying children’s areas)

• Encouraging positive structure, manners, and supporting homework

• Assisting with ongoing toilet training for the younger child

• Light household help such as keeping the kitchen tidy

Requirements

• Experienced nanny with children of similar ages

• Energetic, nurturing, and proactive with strong organisational skills

• Excellent references

• Ofsted registration, Paediatric First Aid, and Enhanced DBS preferred

• Driving licence not essential (all local routes accessible), but parking available

• Flexible, confident, and able to work alongside parents in a busy family home

Accommodation & Salary

• Private bedroom and bathroom provided for live-in weekends

• Live-out option available for local candidates

Additional Information

Parents are often at home during weekends, but require a nanny who can confidently take full charge when needed. The family can also offer additional hours during school holidays or family trips.

This role will suit a reliable, adaptable nanny who enjoys working in a supportive, family-oriented household and can bring both structure and fun to the children’s weekends.
