A professional family is seeking a highly experienced and engaging Governess for a temporary 3-week placement in London to care for two girls aged 11 and 9. The role is focused on cultural engagement, exploration of London, and providing a stimulating and safe environment during the children’s summer break while the parent attends business meetings.

Schedule
Monday – Thursday: approximately 08:30 – 18:30
Friday: shorter working day (hours to be confirmed)

Salary
£25 per hour (Monday–Thursday)
£30 per hour (Friday due to shorter working day)

Role Responsibilities
Providing attentive supervision and ensuring the children’s safety at all times
Planning and organising engaging daily outings around London
Acting as an educational companion, bringing London’s culture and history to life
Accompanying the children to museums, landmarks, parks, and cultural sites such as the South Bank, Hyde Park, and the Tower of London
Encouraging curiosity, discussion, and age-appropriate learning through real-world experiences
Managing daily logistics, tickets, and expenses during outings
Ensuring a well-structured, active, and enjoyable daily routine

Candidate Profile
Highly experienced governess or nanny with experience working with children of a similar age
Confident navigating London independently using public transport and walking routes
Energetic, engaging personality able to connect with pre-teen children
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Professional, discreet, punctual, and reliable
Impeccable references and background
