A warm and professional family based in Battersea, London is seeking an experienced, structured and confident nanny/governess to support their two boys, aged 6 years old. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable childcare professional who enjoys guiding school-aged children, creating routine, and bringing calm structure to a busy family home.
The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates, as well as flexible working arrangements for the right person.
Duties include:
• Managing a smooth and structured after-school routine
• School drop-offs and collections where required
• Supporting homework, reading and educational development
• Preparing children’s meals / dinner supervision
• Organising evening routine and bedtime
• Encouraging positive behaviour, manners and independence
• Providing consistency, boundaries and calm guidance
• Helping maintain an organised child-focused environment
• Liaising confidently with parents regarding progress and routine
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong previous experience with children aged 5–7 years
• Confident, proactive and naturally takes initiative
• Calm, warm and firm approach to boundaries
• Clear, polished and confident communicator
• Good knowledge of the UK education system
• Teaching background or school-based experience highly desirable
• Familiar with British family routines and expectations
• Already based in the UK preferred
• Energetic, organised and professional presentation
Schedule:
The family can offer flexibility depending on candidate preference.
Option 1 Split Shift:
• 6:30am – 9:00 / 9:30am
• 2:30pm – 9:00pm
Option 2:
• Start at school pick-up (approx. 3:00pm) through evening routine
Accommodation:
Open to both live-in and live-out candidates.
Travel:
No international travel required. Occasional short UK trips only.
Salary:
Starting from £55,000 gross per annum, negotiable depending on experience and suitability.
Start Date:
Flexible / ASAP for the right candidate.
