A warm and professional family based in Battersea, London is seeking an experienced, caring and reliable nanny/governess to support their two boys, both aged 6 years old, on weekends. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable childcare professional who enjoys working with school-aged children, providing continuity, and becoming a trusted part of the family environment.
The role involves staying overnight with the family during weekends and ensuring the children's needs are met while providing nurturing care, educational support and a calm, structured routine.
Duties include:
• Providing attentive care and ensuring the children's overall wellbeing
• Supporting homework, reading and educational development
• Encouraging positive behaviour, manners and independence
• Planning engaging age-appropriate activities and outings
• Supervising mealtimes
• Managing evening routines and bedtime
• Staying overnight with the family on weekends
• Providing calm guidance and consistency
• Helping maintain an organised, child-focused environment
• Communicating confidently with parents regarding the children's progress and routines
Ideal Candidate:
• Strong previous experience with children aged 5–7 years
• Warm, proactive and naturally takes initiative
• Calm and confident approach with clear boundaries
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of the UK education system
• Teaching background or school-based experience highly desirable
• Already based in the UK preferred
• Energetic, organised and professionally presented
• Happy to stay overnight with the family during working weekends
Schedule:
• Weekend position
• Saturday and Sunday
• Overnight accommodation provided with the family
Travel:
No international travel required. Occasional short UK trips may be offered.
Salary:
20-22 GBP
Start Date:
